Chicago Man Arrested For Selling Counterfeit PEARL JAM Tickets
July 21, 2013According to RedEye, a Chicago man was arrested earlier this week for allegedly selling counterfeit tickets to this past Friday's (July 19) PEARL JAM concert at Wrigley Field.
A 22-year-old man who was looking for last-minute PEARL JAM tickets online Wednesday saw a Craigslist ad for two tickets, priced at $250 apiece. He then arranged to meet the seller, a 21-year-old man, in a parking lot that evening to complete the purchase. The buyer said his suspicions were raised when the seller seemed "on edge" and left before even counting the money he received as part of the sale. After following the seller, the buyer was shown a piece of paper that looked like a receipt from Tickets.com. Still not convinced the tickets were real, the buyer flagged down police officers and had the seller arrested before the man could drive off in a car.
The seller was charged with forgery and and was released on a $10,000 bond.
